This is without a doubt the best Indian food I have had in Chicago. Nothing on Devon even holds a candle to this place. The food genuinely feels authentic and not an awkward Americanized version of Indian food. Will go again and again every time I come back to Chicago

The food was amazing but the drinks were even better, some of the best mixology I have seen in a while. I loved the mix of traditional and non traditional food combinations and differently worth trying for both modern Indian food lovers and ones that want a few changes

Unfortunately, the Chicago area doesn’t have the same variety and caliber of Indian restaurants compared to equivalent metropolitan areas. However, Vajra is a clear exception. The variety and taste is above and beyond. The parking situation could be better, but the food itself is great

This is far more than a neighbourhood Indian joint — it’s a restaurant worthy of a detour. Some of the best executions of the classic Indian dishes, alongside some with a bit of a twist — the mushroom biryani is one where you won’t even notice it’s vegetarian
