The Village Chicago Restaurant This was such a pleasant surprise to find. I just wanted some spaghetti and we happened upon this place that was on the way to the event we were going to. The inside is a replica of an Italian village. It’s lowlit and cozy. We had the calamari, ravioli, and spaghetti. Everything was delicious

Everything is just perfect about this place ambiance, food, service. The oldest place has some really good recipies. Tried the Pesto Gnocchi and Lasagna. Both were very special

Recommended foods

Our experience was better than expected. The server was very helpful and kind. He really looked out for us and helped us with a wine selection that was excellent. food was very fresh and tasted like it

eggplant parmesan and the chicken parmesan were delicious. tomatoes in the caprese were out of this world. The chocolate mousse had little bits of brownies that added a nice touch. The table we sat at was secluded and very romantic. We just lived the food, service, and atmospher

The service was top notch,  atmosphere was top notch,  restaurant is a top notch restaurant

The lasagne was very good with the baked mozzarella on top, but the seafood ravioli was even better. Also highly recommend the chicken parm

Old school Italian restaurant in the heart of the Loop, set in an Italian themed village. I started with the grilled Calamari. Grilled perfectly and the sauce was amazing. Followed it up with the chicken pesto gnocchi. Great taste but a bit soupy. The bread was good but inconsistent, first batch fresh, second batch dry and stale. Overall good experience.
