Came here for Valentine’s Day. We had a reservation for 8:30 and were told they could not seat us because the kitchen was running behind. We were told 30 minute wait, then 10 minutes. However it did end up becoming a 30 minute wait. There were 10 people (5 couples) standing around in a very tight space waiting to be seated. We tried to order from the bar and server just straight up refused to take an order because “we are so busy, we just can’t). We were told the manager will come speak to us but they never did.

Took the time to explain everything and answered all questions even though it was super busy. Only negative thing I have to say, was told the bar can’t make any specifically cocktails (mojito) because of how busy it was. If you’re in Chicago, def eat here. They also played great music

It’s been one of my favorite Sushi spots for sometime. The quality & taste is always top grade. What makes this location special is the knowledgeable staff. If you’re unsure what to order or what’s on the menu, they have you covered! Love this is BYOB so stop by, about a block down on the corner of Armitage and Damen, at Polonia Food & Liquor for some wine or beer. Great place for a first date with an intimate setting

Kai Sushi Chicago Absolutely an A+ dining experience from Kai Sushi!! The restaurant was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and respectful. I was pleasantly surprised to get the quality of the food and the service at this price range for sushi. I really loved their recommended chef specials, and would definitely come back for more.

We were in a hurry and felt like having sushi and this place was really close by. Probably one of the best sushi places in Chicago. Everything was fresh and delicious! All the rolls that had salmon were my favorite! I also loved their squid salad and uni! Staff was super friendly and helpful.

I love nori! The atmosphere is so great here and I love that i can bring a bottle of wine. I can find street parking nearby which is always a good thing. And of course the food is great!! I’ve tried so many of the rolls and I’ve never been disappointed. This is the perfect place for date night, chill night with a friend, bring the parents, bring everyone! Eat at Nori 👏🏼👏🏼

If you’re a fan of chef BK from Juno, then you’ll have no problem of finding remnants of his flavors here at Mako. Recently opened and already a Michelin 1 star; well deserved at that. Dinner this evening was a collaboration dinner with a chef from the Alinea group, next. When French and Japanese come together, you get a whole new set of flavors. The overall experience was great and nothing felt rushed. Each dish is meticulously laid out in front of you and the chefs, themselves, would stop and explain each dish to you. This isn’t their normal menu, but I have no doubt that his regular menu is anything short of amazing.

Worth it. Expensive but definitely worth it. Only 6 people at the chef’s bar so you’ll need to book in advance. But truly a memorable experience. Open till late. The menu is based on whatever is market fresh and has some additional extras available. The foie-gras was unexpected but a sublime experience
