Terrific pasta, laid back yet upscale ambiance, neighborhood vibe and prices that were quite reasonable given the quality. I had the spaghetti cacio el pepe and a beet salad with goat cheese and thought both were entirely on point. Would recommend for a night out with friends or a hot date

Sal’s is the definition of high quality neighborhood spot. Everything on the menu will make you want to order it again. The pork chop? Arguably the best in the city. The Bolognese will have you thinking about it for days. Couldn’t ask for a more vibrant atmosphere to enjoy a fantastic evening with friends or family

Sal’s is the most perfect, cozy, beautiful, delicious restaurant in Chicago. Skip the big fancy River North steakhouses and instead be treated like family at Sal’s. The staff is attentive without being annoying and the food is truly amazing. They make all pasta from scratch, it can’t be beat. They go the extra mile to make your time there amazing. Great neighborhood spot. One of the best finds in a long time. The ambiance is beautiful, the service was great, the cocktails delicious and the food so very tasty and timely. Sal’s is definitely doing what needs to be done in hard times like this

It’s a cosy local Italian restaurant. Requires reservation. A variety of delicious culinary options, excellent service, relatively quieter for an Italian type of restaurant. The Chianti from Tuscany was superb. I’ll be back again and recommend to friends. Enjoy your visit to Sal’s Trattoria
