Service was fast and our server was so sweet. She was amazing with our 2yr old. Anytime a restaurant works well with children and acknowledges them, we’re all about it. It was so cold today and we chose to sit outside by the river but not even 10 mins in, we were freezing and the restaurant peeps were kind enough to move us inside. Our food came out fast. We ordered several items (6 to be exact) and everything came out at lightning speed. We’re looking forward to returning over its warmer to enjoy the outdoor views with some yummy spritz

Stopped in for dinner after a walk on the Riverwalk Friday night. The ambiance is nice but the service could use some work. There were 2 hostess stands and it was unclear which one to go to. It took a while for the two to coordinate seating. We ordered 2 beers, a burger, and a chicken sandwich. The beers were not very cold at all. When the food came the fries were cold and the server didn’t seem apologetic and only asked if we wanted new fries or a credit on our meal. The burger and chicken sandwich were ok but lacked any real luster, very plain

The view of the river is incredible and the restaurant itself is very posh. They ran out of lobster for the lobster roll which was disappointing, but it happens. I got the steak frites instead and they were amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly and the frites were fried in a beef fat. I went at lunch time and was shocked at how quickly the food came out. My server, Parris, was super quick and helpful, despite me having a number of rapid fire requests. Overall it was a great dining experience

What’s not to brag about this place. I’d heard much about it and they did not disappoint me. Excellent customer service. The waiter knew the wine pairings perfectly. The food was high quality and delicious and generous portions. Great place for celebrations. Beautiful river views. Lots of action on the river keeps it entertaining. I will be back

Great experience from beginning to end. Courteous staff, bustling atmosphere, amazing food and a great view off the river. I stopped in for lunch and had a simple soup (split pea w/ham) and a salad (wedge served chopped). Fast, fresh, filling and very delicious. I look forward to coming back for dinner soon

Beat Kitchen on the Riverwalk Fun location on the riverwalk! The beer options are decent but I don’t think they have anything on tap. The pizza with goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes was yummy but the crust wasn’t my style. It was thick and crispy. But you can’t beat the location

We went on September 15, Guatamalas Independence day and had a blast!. The food is a savory blend of spices, real home cooked blue tortillas and the atmosphere has such a great energetic vibe about it. We ordered a few shots and a few spirits which came beautifully decorated and delicious. For food, we ordered chips and hot sauce for starters, chips were fresh, then we ordered 1 bacon cheeseburger, 1 steak taco, 1 smoked pork belly taco and cheese quesadillas. My mouth went to heaven! The use of the blue tortillas along with the fresh veggies for the tacos and the excellently cooked meats makes this my only go to reataurant on the River. We will be sure to return when I go back to Chicago.

I was out walking at dusk, decided I needed a rest and some food, stopped here for a brat. If restaurant success depends on location this place has got it made. There are few places more pleasant in Chicago than the new river walk and the Northman has a choice spot. All the river walk joints are a little pricey. The Northman had a large array of potables including Austrian pilsner. This was a wonderful place to sit and watch day turn to night.

Did the river walk this Sunday. This place had good coffee and a lovely patio. The reserved seating arrangement ensured a good table right on the river. Had a wonderful time watching boats pass by
