Started with drinks (Witch’s Daisy and Italian Sling #2), both were well-balanced and interesting. Then, just a snack – the Artichoke and Sunchoke Crostino … packed with truffle, garlic, and charred artichoke on a blend of ricotta and fontina atop crunchy, buttery toast (crostino) … so flavorful. Then, the M.O.A.B. – Ragu Alla Napoletana … the sausage, the osso bucco, the meatballs … holy freaking cow, the meatballs! Tender, delicious clouds of meat! The fusilli was perfect. The sauce was simple and balanced. Just incredible

Hands down best pasta in Chicago. Pasta is made in-house and is always phenomenal. Service is great. Open and airy environment and not too stuffy or fancy-feeling. HIGHLY recommend the potato-filled Zlikrofi

Outrageously good food…fresh housemade pasta. The pesto was transcendental and the bone-in ribeye lives up to Chicago’s reputation for superior beef. Reservations needed well in advance because the word is out that Monteverde is so good

This was easily the best experience I have had in a long time. We didn’t have a reservation but they were able to fit us in. They treated us like family. The food was outstanding The service was fantastic. The noodles are made in house and the dishes vary based on the season to ensure the freshest most delicious food possible. My family all ordered different menu items and agreed at any other place any one of the items would have been the best on the menu they all just happen to be served at the same place. We learned about this place from a show we watched and it didn’t disappoint. This is a must stop if you are in Chicago and worth driving to wherever you are in the city

This was the best Italian restaurant I have had the pleasure of dining at hands down! My group and I were met by a friendly host named Jamie. Our outstanding server was Rose. And the manager who made it all happen for the dozens of patrons eating there on a pleasant evening was Justin . The food was outstanding : I have posted a menu with our appetizers and main courses for all to see/ I’m also adding the photos: last, the tiramisu was the creamiest anywhere!! Next time I’m in Chicago I will be a return customer for Justin and his staff
