Superdawg Drive In restaurant A great bucket list restaurant marked off my list! Their version of a Chicago Dog was great! Definitely lives up to its notoriety on the shows its been featured on. The burger was good but wasn’t anything to brag about. The fries though we’re cooked and salted perfectly! Definitely worth the trip if it on your bucket list of places to say you been to.

If you want an honest-to-goodness, original Chicago hot dog, look no further. Superdawg is one of the best! Everything is crammed into a box, but it doesn’t affect the fries any. Mine were still crispy and delicious! When I was finished, I almost ordered another too quickly. Lol! I like how you can pull up to the old-style drive-up window and park and order. It’s very cozy!

If you are passing through Chicago, you HAVE to stop at Byron’s for some burgers and/or hot dogs. It was phenomenal. The staff was so sweet and kind. They definitely brightened our days, and the food hit the spot. It was heavy and messy and everything we were hoping for; surprisingly not greasy though! Needed some extra napkins for this one.

Hot dogs, cheese dogs, and polish was good. I kinda felt my dog was a bit dried out on the ends though hard to tell with all the cheese. Bring cash that’s all they take. He’s building a little shelter from the rain over the order window, should help on cold and rainy days. Hours when I went was Monday – Saturday 11-5pm & Sunday 11-4pm.

Portillo’s rocks! The beef sandwich is fantastic, with mounds of beef on the big. Top it off with the hot and the sweet peppers, your mouth will thank you! (And burn a bit…) We have a Portillo’s close to home on the west coast, but anytime I get a chance to visit Chicago I try to get in here. Great atmosphere and a cool looking interior.

Classic mom & pop kind of hot dog stand; with over 70 years of doing business. Service was good, went at about 1:30 on a Friday afternoon, wait time for my order was about 15 minutes, so not too bad as they did seem a bit busy. I got myself the “Philly Steak” which was a little greasy but not overly so. I personally like my philly’s with mushrooms, but I did treat myself to an order of their breaded mushrooms, well as an order of mozzarella sticks. So all is good, was enough for my late lunch and most of my dinner as well. Tasty 😋.

I came from AZ to Chicago for work and all I wanted to do while I was here was see the “bean” and eat a legit Chi town hotdog! I think I got the experience! The dog and chili were delicious and I devoured it all. The only thing I wasn’t expecting was how the small the dogs were. I was thinking they’d be jumbo… flavor was all there tho!!

Not only is the food here AMAZING but the way they treat their customers is stupendous. My family and I feel like we are family every single time that we walk in here. Truly a hidden gem. I cannot tell you how many times we have drove past and never tried it out until we moved a couple of blocks away. Great people. Great food. Honest employees.
