Went to this restaurant to grab dinner with friend. I was curious because the review was great. It was located in this cute food marketplace in chinatown area. I ordered the most favorite orange chicken, fried rice, and some dim sums. I have to say the food was decent, but the portion is very generous so its worth your money.

I’ve come here for dim sum, which was good. However, the dinner dishes could improve. The salt& pepper smelt dish was served soft and in clusters, and lack of flavor (missing the salt & pepper). It should have been crispy and individual smelts. The Hong Kong egg plant was saved by all the extra spices, which was flavorful. Otherwise, the egg plant batter was loose and it could have been more flavorful as well. The salty/ sweet boba drink they advertise… was too sweet. Presentation of the dishes are good

I drove 1.5 hrs to pick up some dinner from here and it was absolutely so worth it. Their dishes tasted SO MUCH like home I almost cried. We arrived here at 815pm on Friday evening and were told that they close at 830 (google maps says 9pm. Please update). It was raining, we were hungry and our hotel was pretty far away to take to go. If you used to eat there like 10 years ago and miss how that food used to be, try Evergreen. This place needs more attention. Their flat bread sandwiches (rou jia mo) is delicious. Bread is perfect. If you’re familiar with mainland Chinese food you’ll find these items on the streets of Beijing in the morning rush as people are off to work. Taste just like I remembered 10 years ago. The hand pulled noodles are yummy as well. There most definitely is a difference in fresh noodles over dried packaged ones. The lamb skewers are more meatier than other Chinatown locations. Staff is your typical Chinese Place, so don’t be a Karen and just enjoy the food
