The restaurant is tastefully decorated and amazingly clean including the restroom. With such a beautiful place I thought the music was very loud and old school hard core rap kinda killed my vibe. The crowd was just a touch junior and not as sophisticated as the atmosphere presented. The service wasn’t very great, because the staff was short. We waited over an hour for our food. The drinks were delicious, the food was okay after all that waiting. I highly recommend the stringbeans. The Server did apologize for the wait on food. Overall, great place for drinking.

The food was great, but I don’t want to leave a post about that….. Again the food was great… The brother Rasheed showed is so much hospitality. Driving from Detroit was long, but this brother made the experience 1000% better. I salute you brother on your humbleness, attentiveness, your ability to make ppl feel welcomed and a host of other things… I don’t know if you have ownership, but “Mr McDonald’s” you need to let this brother in!!!!

They have great food, the best Jamaican food in the city by far. But what takes away from them is their terrible customer service. Attitudes and unwilling to fix an order thats incorrect. Often times I show up at 2pm when the restaurant is supposed to open and the doors are still locked. They need to do better!

We found ourselves stuck in Chicago after our flight was delayed causing us to miss our connection flight. We were tired and hungry for a good authentic African meal…Kenyan meal, Even though it’s not a a Kenyan restaurant, a Google search for Kenyan food lead us to BULSHO. We took an Uber from our hotel near O’Hare Airport’s to BULSHO. The restaurant was 16 miles and with the usual Chicago traffic. It took over an hour. Upon arriving, I was a little disappointed to see the dilapidated and unkept location. Nonetheless, except for alot of men just standing and engaging in what seemed to be very lively conversations.

Ordered online via tock and picked up. Emparogis pictured (came with 5 but we ate one before I took the picture) but we also got a Zapiekanka which was massive and full of cheesy goodness. I loved the emparogis (who doesn’t love potatoes? ♥️) and my boyfriend loved the Zapiekanka for its explosion of interesting flavors. They also threw in 3 of their little kolaczki desserts which was super nice. Bonus points for compostable takeout containers, a paper bag, and not giving us utensils/napkins as requested! It can be hard to find because there’s no signage, but it’s located inside The Outpost, which does have signage

Had a great experience at uncooked. The food was all delicious – I tried the pesto, chipotle and sushi. Great for on the go as everything is ready as you walk in. Everything tasted very fresh and healthy. I was especially impressed that the mozzarella “cheese” was so light and fluffy, most vegan cheese I have tried is very heavy and dense. I would definitely return to try more dishes. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

I tried a little bit of everything the greens were a little salty… the green beans were perfect. The macaroni was delicious the fish on point (a little Bland but that’s okay) The chicken wings were perfectly seasoned crispy and moist the breast was dry and not as seasoned tho. The cornbread was sweet. Overall I give them an 8 out of 10 I would definitely go back… The peach cobbler was very tasty…. but served without ice cream.

I literally only gave them two stars because the food is good….but in order to be able to taste it they have to be open which they never are. they don’t answer the phone so I don’t understand the point of even having one. Please don’t post business hours if you’re not going to be available at those times. I recommended them to people and they have told me they haven’t even been able to try them cause they’re not open

Food was delicious, well presented, inspiring and done timely. The service was what was poor. Just to be specific, we asked the waiter for more time on ordering food, but he never came back. After about 20 minutes I went to the bartender and asked him to grab someone to take our order. After he took our order, he didn’t write it down so he came back after a few minutes and asked us what our order was again, but this time, wrote it down. When the starter plates came in he plopped them on the table and then hurriedly left. We had no cutlery. We flagged him down and asked for cutlery. The lighting in the place was a little dark for my liking but that’s not a deal breaker. Otherwise the food was the only great thing. Bravo to the chefs. Unfortunately I would not come back again.

A++ for service. responsive. I tried the Peach coffee the first day and it wasn’t to my liking (I’m just old school and drink my coffee plain & black) – they kindly got me regular coffee at no extra charge. I had the Southern Benedict which was a ton of footage. If Southern cooking is your thing, this is THE place to go. The biscuit and chicken sausage patties were drowning in rich, creamy gravy.
